LTC (Ret) Mark West returned for his 9th season in 2017 as the Head Coach of the Army Sprint football team and guided the team to a 9-0 record and first place finish in the Collegiate Sprint Football League. West took over the program in 2008 and holds a 54-12 record after 9 seasons at the helm. The team has claimed five league titles in the past eight years and recorded four perfect seasons.
A 1991 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy, West starred as quarterback for the Sprint Football squad as a cadet, earning All-League honors for three consecutive years and League Most Valuable Player his senior season.
He recently retired from the Army after 24 years of active duty service. He is married to the former Holly Fishburne (USMA Class of ‘91) and has four children ages 21, 19, 13, and 11. He also serves as the Sports Camp Director for the Army West Point Athletic Association.

Offensive Coordinator Donny Walker
Joe Sessa enters his 19th season with Army West Point sprint football and his fifth as the linebackers coach. 2017 marks the first season Sessa will serve as the team’s defensive coordinator.
His coaching tenure with the Sprint program began with the 1998 season, serving on the offensive side of the ball.

John Rotella is entering his fifth season with the Army West Point sprint football team as the offensive line coach.
Rotella comes to West Point from William Paterson University, where he most recently served as the offensive coordinator and kicking coach in 2012. He also coaches the Pioneer’s running backs since 2006 where he mentored four All-Conference players including the first 1,000-yard rusher at WPU in 17 years.

Frank Nucaro enters his eighth with the Army West Point sprint football program after joining the staff in 2010. Nucaro bring 30 years of high school football coaching experience with him to West Point.
In 2015, Nucaro coached CSFL co-MVP Philip Choi, who led the league in sacks and tackles for loss in addition to captaining Army’s defense to a program-record five consecutive shutouts to start the 2015 campaign.

Andrew Tolosi joins the Army West Point sprint football coaching staff in 2017 as the defensive backs coach.
Tolosi worked as a Consumer Sales and Services Intern with the New York Jets in 2016. With the Jets, he organized special events for pregame, halftime and postgame and VIP check-ins, as well as serving as a guest services guide.
